CAPA aims to keep you informed about issues relating to education and leadership within the Catholic Education system of Western Australia. We encourage you to attend our annual events for networking and professional learning purposes.

Each year, CAPA provides professional learning opportunities for its members. CAPA encourages member input via surveys and feedback forms as a means of ongoing improvement. Current events are listed here, on the CAPA website. Members are encouraged to check this regularly.

Teacher Registration Board of WA

The TRBWA is the body responsible for the registration of teachers in Western Australia and registers all teachers, from early childhood to Year 12, who teach in a Western Australian educational venue. The TRBWA is also responsible for the accreditation of initial teacher education programmes in WA.

It sets out the curriculum, guiding principles for teaching, learning and assessment and support for teachers in their assessment and reporting of student achievement.

The School Curriculum and Standards Authority is an independent statutory authority that is responsible to the Western Australian Minister for Education. It is administered by a board consisting of seven members appointed for their expertise in education and assessment.
